Work Rant part 2

Today we had a quarterly meeting at the corporate office. In the midst of the meeting, the woman who pushes my buttons singles me out.

She tells me, in fornt of the rest of the company, to not put customers in the computer system under a location that was closed last month.

It sounds innocent enough right?

Well, first of all, as she spoke to me she was talking to me as if I'm an idiot. Secondly, someone had already previously mentioned this to me. Finally, it isn't even my job to put customers into the computer system!

I have done it for three customers in the entire time I've worked for the company, when I was speciffically told to do so. That's it! And for crying out loud, don't you think it would be common sense not to put customers into the computer under a location that was closed? Am I an idiot? Do I have a simpleton look about me? No one else treats me this way. I am in charge (though not manager) of the entire freakin branch office where I work. When someone has a question they come to me, I don't always know the answer, but I'm not the manager so I don't feel I need to know all the answers.

And I feel justified in thinking she is singling me out, because on the ride home, the driver, also the manager, commented on how grumpy the woman was towards me.

I hate having to deal with that woman! Maybe she has something against fat people, or maybe she just doesn't like me.

Work Rant

There is a woman I work with from the main office who is pushing my buttons.

She calls here all the time asking me to send her information or clear up any errors/misunderstandings. And that is fine. She's not here it's not like she can look through our files and do it herself. She needs the info or we can't bill. I am always nice, pleasant even, to her and get her the info asap even to the point of dropping everything I'm doing to get it for her.

When I call her, which is rare, it is the exact opposite. She is always brusque. Today was one of those days. An ex-customer called concerned that he was being billed for an item he had returned. I told him I would let the "billing people," aka the woman, know about it and they would reverse the charges. He asked if they would call him. So I called the woman and explained the situation to her. She told me to call him back and explain her answer to him.

I just wanted to tell her, "Look, he asked for a billing person to call him, and unless I missed a substantial pay raise, that wouldn't be me." In my mind I am even doing the head roll, though that would be useless over the phone.

But of course I didn't, I meekly said ok while fuming on the inside. It's days like this that make me think I could just quit, with no regrets. I'm going to explode someday, always holding everything on the inside. Grrr anger and frustration!

- Planning on making tuna noodle casserole for dinner, well my simplified version of it anyways. 1/2 bag of egg noodles, 1 can tuna, 1 can cream mushroom soup, 1 can peas (I'd use a small, but I only have a large, so only 1/2 can), 3/4 cup milk. voila! 4 servings for 280 calories each. We will both eat two servings though.

- I am sore and I have a blister on the back of my right ankle.
- I tried that new Diet Coke Plus. At first sip it was nothing special, however the more I drank I noticed that it was leaving a nasty almost fruity after taste in my mouth. Won't be drinking any of that again regardless of vitamins and minerals.
- So darn cold that we didn't go to the Y after all. But Erv said he'd go with me tomorrow night after dinner.

- I must go back, hubby says he will go with me tomorrow. Will we swim or go up to the gym? Supposed to be nasty tomorrow morning.
